The stakeholders are extension officers, research Institutions (IIAM), Departments of Agriculture, local NGOs, poultry industry and input market.
Objectives:
- Monitor crop performance on farmers’ plots
- Monitor crop performance in on-station plots
- Monitor resources flow both on-farm and on-station
- Use participatory tools to assess crop performance (productivity and quality)
- Hold several workshops with stakeholders to:
- discuss sustainability of scenarios of crop intensification with and without intercropping,
- identify possible trade-offs to be accounted for to favour intercropping against “simplification” of the cropping system“
- Use crop models to simulate resources flow and crop performance.
