Objectives:
- Intercropping of wheat and legumes to improve wheat baking quality,
- To increase the use of intercropping with use in Greece especially in winter crops (wheat, pea, and faba bean)
The main intercrops and cropping systems studied in the CICS are: monocultures of cereals and legumes; cereal-legume intercrops; and arable crops are mostly cultivated in monoculture systems and are the main crops in Greece (62% of the arable land).
The stakeholders are farmers, cooperatives, researchers, farm advisors, companies with agricultural supplies, processors, distributors, consumers, and policy actors.
