Objectives:
Eliminate silage from the production system to reduce plastic, fuel costs, and contractors’ costs, increase the health of the herd, and enter the “latte fieno” (milk from hey) value-chain
CICS 11 is a network of seven Italian organic farms: 4 farms are located in the Po valley in Northern Italy, and 3 farms are in central Italy. They share common features: Organic certified; they use intercrops to enhance their agro-ecological practices; they support short or closed value-chain, they are members of networks, and finally, they have experience with multi-actor research projects and dissemination/training events
